E2dish technology supports low-complexity and scalable loose-patch extracellular recordings from primary cells cultured in our multi-well plates.
The concept is based on a substrate-integrated pipette, a 1 mm long microchannel connecting a pair of culture wells, in which the axons sprout spontaneously to achieve a recording configuration. Therefore the recording does not require micropositioning of recording pipettes and can be performed with minimal training.
The E2drive amplifier is used with the E2dishes and E2soft to record activity from the substrate-integrated micropipettes in loose-patch mode.
